In this interview, get to know Nate Miyaki, creator of the Half Day Diet.

We'll dive into his training background, how he got started and his thoughts on practical nutrition and dietary practices for fat loss and athletic performance.

This is excellent info that will help answer all your questions about the Half Day Diet.

Two of the guys that I highly respect within in the fitness industry are Sean Hyson (Muscle&Fitness) and Nate Miyaki (author of the Half Day Diet). These guys are superstars and their nutritional philosophies make complete sense to me!

To put their nutritional philosophy in it's simplest terms, without talking about the fasting aspects of their diets, the nutritional program that they give their clients goes as such:

Your total daily caloric intake: Multiply your bodyweight by 12 (if very overweight use your lean body mass)
Protein: Consume 1g/lb bodyweight (protein equates to 4 calories per gram)
Fat: 20% of your total calories (9 calories per gram)
Carbs: All other calories consumed (4 calories per gram)

Let's do the numbers. If you are a 150lb male:

You should be eating 1800 calories a day
(150lb x 12 = 1800).
You should be eating 150g of protein a day or 600 calories of your diet in protein
(150g x 4 = 600).
Your fat intake should be about 360 calories worth of fat per day or 40g
(1800 x 20% = 360) then (360 / 9 = 40g).
Leaving 840 calories worth of carbs per day or 210g
(1800 – 600[from protein] – 360[from fat] = 840) then (840 / 4 = 210g).

Here are some great types of fats, proteins, and carbs prescribed by Sean Hyson:

Proteins: eggs, protein powder, fish, meat
Carbs: potatoes (including sweet potatoes), rice, fruit, vegetables
Fats: nuts (almonds, peanuts, walnuts), avocados, fish oil, some cooking oils (olive, coconut)
(a large portion of your fats will also come from the meats you consume so you must be conscious of that factor)

To determine the caloric content of many of the foods that you consume you can complement this diet with an awesome nutritional tool: This tool is great because it gives you an estimate of how many calories the food you are eating has! It doesn't do you much good to have a total calorie consumption goal if you have no idea the amount of calories in the food you are eating! This resource will help you figure out the caloric content of any foods you are consuming!

There you have it, the nutritional guidelines of the pros! With these sustainable numbers to strive for, you can hopefully stay lean all year long! It's so easy to follow (I would know, it's the diet I use), doesn't require a massive lifestyle change, and is truly sustainable!

How To Lose Weight Fast

If you do not have huge will power, then the hunger will cause you to give up completely on these plans altogether.

The 3 step plan that I am going to outline for you will…
• Reduce your appetite rather significantly
• Allow you to lose weight fast without leaving you hungry
• Improve your metabolic health at the same time

All of these methods are supported by scientific studies

Step 1 will be to cut back on sugars and starches
The most important part is to cut back on sugars and starches. These is found in the foods that stimulate secretion of insulin the very most. If you did not know already, insulin is the main fat storage hormone in the body.

When insulin is lowered, fat has a much easier time getting out of the fat stores, and then the body starts to burn fats instead of carbohydrates. Another great benefit of lowering insulin is that your kidneys will shed excess sodium and excess water out of your body, which will reduce bloating and unnecessary water weight.

It is not uncommon to lose up to 10 pounds, some times more, in the first week of eating in this way; both body fat and water weight. Cutting down your intake of carbohydrate, lower your insulin, and you will start to eat less calories automatically and without feeling hungry.

Bottom line: By removing sugars and starches from your diet will lower your insulin levels, kill your appetite and make you lose weight without hunger.

Step 2 is to eat protein, fats and vegetables
Every one of your meals should contain a source of protein, low carb source, and a source of healthy fat. If you construct your meals in this way, this will automatically bring your intake of carbs in to the recommended range of 20-50 grams per day.

Here are some sources of protein:
Meat – Beef, chicken, pork lamb, bacon
Fish and sea food – Salmon, trout, shrimps, lobsters
Eggs – Omega 3 or pastured eggs are best

The Half Day Diet Plan To Lose Weight Fast With Nate Miyaki

How To Lose Weight Fast –

Those who want to lose weight but haven’t found a diet program that has worked for them in the past will find that the Half Day Diet offers a very different but effective way to burn fat without the need for a traditional low-carb diet. This particular diet program was created by Nate Miyaki, who has years of experience and knowledge when it comes to fitness and nutrition. This program is built on the principal of three pillars, all of which are crucial to the overall program and its ability to help people lose weight fast.

The Three Pillars of the Half Day Diet

It is important to learn what the three main pillars of the Half Day Diet are, especially if you are overweight and want to burn fat as quickly and efficiently as possible. The very first pillar of this program is called “Macro-Optimization”, and it is based on the idea that those who want to lose weight need to eat the right foods at the right times in the right amounts on a regular basis. A lot of people make the mistake of eating the right foods at the wrong times in the wrong amounts or the wrong foods in the wrong amounts. By tweaking your macronutrients properly, you will be able to meet all of your fitness goals without any issues whatsoever.

The next pillar that makes up the Half Day Diet involves customizing one’s own diet. Since not everyone can lose weight effectively on the same kind of diet, it is therefore important for those who want to burn as much fat as possible to create a diet that will work for them. Those who are tired of not seeing any weight results with the diet they are on will find that it probably isn’t the one that works best for them. Nate Miyaki really stresses the importance of customizing your own diet in this program, as it is an essential principal that must be followed in order to achieve significant weight loss.

Third pillar of the Half Day Diet consists of making the necessary changing when it comes to your fitness goals and diet over time. One of the primary failures of most dietary programs is that they do not account for the biochemical changes that occur in the body during weight loss, which is something that Nate Miyaki understands and has incorporated into his program. It is necessary for anyone who wants to lose weight and keep it off to evolve their nutritional plan as needed. Nobody should stay on the same diet their whole lives, especially those whose bodies are going through drastic changes like significant weight loss.

What is special about the Half Day Diet?

One of the most unique and special things about the Half Day Diet is the fact that it incorporates scientific facts and basic diet/nutritional knowledge for a very effective weight loss plan that can work for everyone. Another great thing about this program is that it is customizable and not too rigid, so it can work for every single person who tries it. The three basic pillar of this program make a lot of sense and have helped quite a few people to lose weight already. This program works on the basis of creating a diet that works for you and making the necessary adjustments to it over time for great long-term results. The fact is that most diet plans do not have most of these things, which is why the people who try them rarely succeed when it comes to losing any significant amount of weight.

Should you try the Half Day Diet?

The Half Day Diet has worked for a variety of people with different fitness goals, so it is highly recommended that you at least take the time to look into everything it has to offer. The fact is that this diet program provides those who purchase it with valuable information that can make a huge difference when it comes to losing weight quickly and efficiently. Unlike crash/fad diets, the Half Day Diet has the ability to help people lose weight and keep it off for the long term.

The Half Day Diet Review

Half Day Diet Review: What are my thoughts? Is it effective? Does science back what’s in the book? What do I like and dislike? As well as my recommendation! You’ll pretty much learn everything that is needed…I promise.

Half Day Diet is a pretty good diet guide. However, there are some other guides that I like a bit more. I have outlined those guides above so you can go and check out the reviews.

Some of the things that I like in a half day diet is that what they teach you in the guide is actually backed by science. This is big for me because I don’t really want to have a guide that scientifically doesn’t make sense. Some of the techniques like intermittent fasting and intermittent feasting are a few of the techniques that are discussed in this book. This is pretty much what the diet revolves around. If you were to go do some research about these techniques on Google you would find that there have been scientific studies done on these exact type of techniques. The studies have shown for them to be effective.

The book is only $20 which makes it one of the cheapest weight loss guides that I have reviewed. Most of the guides are going to be priced over $30. So for one to be priced $10 lower it Is nice.

The thing is though, Is that I feel like some of the books that I recommended above provide a lot more value. This is because a lot of them will come out with workout programs as well. This Half Day Diet only revolves around dieting. There is very minimal information about exercising and/or working out.

Please be sure to subscribe to this video was helpful. If you guys have any questions I would be happy to answer them. Just leave a comment.
