About E-Factor Diet
Created by John Rowley, the E-Factor Diet program claims to be a simple, proven, and patented weight loss system that can help you lose all the weight you desire, while increasing your energy, improving your mood, and boosting your metabolism. In fact, the E-Factor Diet is claimed to be so effective that it can help you lose weight in as little as 24 hours, and look leaner and healthier in a matter of days.
According to John, if you’ve tried unsuccessfully to lose weight up until this point, it’s not what you’re eating that’s the problem, it’s when you’re eating it. And by teaching you when to eat ordinary foods at specific times, the E-Factor Diet can help you burn fat around the clock by naturally increasing your fat-burning hormones, without counting calories or grams.
- Energetic Factor – Foods high in sugar and carbohydrates.
- Endothermic Factor – Foods that unlock your fat-burning hormones and “eat” up all your fat. These are claimed to do a lot of their work while you sleep.
- Enzymatic Factor – Foods that increase your digestive power. Yeast builds up from eating processed foods or taking antibiotics (known as “gut bugs,” which we’ll talk more about in a moment).
- Enjoyment Factor – Focuses on enjoying every meal you eat. Otherwise, you’ll never stick to it.
Whether this is your first shot at losing weight and living a healthier life, or if you’re vowing that this is your last, can the E-Factor Diet really help you drop those unwanted pounds, or is it simply a waste of your money? Consider the following:
Who is John Rowley?
What is “Biohacking?”
According to this PBS.org article, biohacking is:
a fairly new practice that could lead to major changes in our life. You could it call citizen or do-it-your-self biology. It takes place in small labs — mostly non-university — where all sorts of people get together to explore biology. That could mean figuring out how the DNA in plants affects their growth, or how to manipulate genes from another source to make a plant glow in the dark. It often is aimed at producing a product, like the chairs and building blocks that artist Philip Ross makes by feeding mushrooms a meal of sawdust or peanut shavings. It is experimenting on the cheap, usually without the benefit of a fancy university laboratory, and it often involves DNA and genes.
Wikipedia puts it this way:
Biohacking or wetware hacking is the practice of engaging biology with the hacker ethic. Biohacking encompasses a wide spectrum of practices and movements ranging from “grinders” who design and install do-it-yourself body-enhancements such as magnetic implants to do-it-yourself biologists who conduct at-home gene sequencing. Biohacking emerged in a growing trend of non-institutional science and technology development. Many biohacking activists, or biohackers, identify with the biopunk movement as well as transhumanism and techno-progressivism.
With this in mind, at least in reference to the E-Factor Diet video, it appears the term “biohacking” is used incorrectly. Instead, a more apt term might be, well, a “diet.” In other words, simply changing the foods you eat and the times you eat them is a diet; not biohacking.
What’s the Link Between Bee Stings & Weight Gain?
In the E-Factor Diet video, it’s consistently stated that some of the foods you eat can cause your body to release histamine (similar to what happens when you’re stung by a bee or bitten by an ant), which can cause your body to retain water and consequently gain weight.
However, when searching online for “can histamines cause weight gain,” the only results were for how antihistamines (such as Benadryl) can cause weight gain. In fact, according to the AAAAI, “There are many postulations as to why this occurs. One reason, which may be the most reasonable, is that histamine is known to reduce the appetite, and antihistamines, therefore, counteract this effect.
In a recent NHANES survey, antihistamine use was associated with obesity, and a study in the journal “Obesity,” confirmed this and analyzed the use of over-the-counter antihistamines and their effect on weight gain. They found, as in the NHANES survey, that the use of over-the-counter antihistamines, including both fexofenadine and cetirizine, was associated with obesity.”
With this in mind, unless you’re taking antihistamines to combat your allergies, there doesn’t appear to be a link between histamines and weight gain.
Got Gut Bugs?
Also in several areas in the E-Factor Diet, the terms “gut bugs” and “gut fungus” are referenced, and are claimed to cause illness and joint pain.
However, while these terms might initially be alarming, the reality is that your gut is full of “flora,” or microbes, that perform a variety of necessary functions, including the processing of carbohydrates, immune system response, metabolic function, preventing allergies, and much more.
When you take antibiotics or eat a diet rich in processed foods, the level of these beneficial bacteria can be greatly reduced, potentially causing illness. However, unless you have an intestinal infection, these bacteria, in and of themselves, will not lead to illness.
In fact, if these beneficial bacteria are “out of whack,” they can be replaced by simply using a variety of probiotic supplements.
What Are Customers Saying about E-Factor Diet?
There weren’t any legitimate online customer reviews available for the E-Factor Diet at the time of our research. However, we did encounter several affiliate-based fake online reviews that just have the one goal of sounding convincing enough to get you to buy the product.
With this said, it seems that John Rowley’s other books have mixed online reputations, with some customers claiming to have found their information useful, while others felt that they involved more proselytizing than usable information. However, it should be noted that at least for Climb Your Ladder of Success Without Running Out of Gas!, most of the reviews came from single-review accounts, which is often a primary indication that they may be fake.

Can E-Factor Diet Help You Lose Weight?
Chopping to the point: While eating a balanced diet consisting of the “right” foods is certainly half the equation for losing weight and keeping it off (the other half is regular exercise), the fact that the E-Factor Diet contains some inaccurate (such as histamines causing weight loss) and some misleading (such as calling beneficial bacteria “gut bugs”) information, it certainly raises some red flags in our minds.
However, if you download the E-Factor Diet and find that it isn’t right for you, you can always take advantage of Clickbank’s 60-day refund policy.
Wishing you the best,
